Mango Market

Our Methodology: How Every Price Is Collected and Checked

In short: every price on Mango Market is a dated observation recorded directly from a pharmacy’s own public website. Pharmacies don’t submit, sponsor or edit our data. Rows rank by lowest total patient price, ties break alphabetically, and every provider is checked against the GPhC register.

Data collection

  • Source: the pharmacy’s own public website. We do not buy third-party price feeds or copy other comparison sites.
  • Observation model: each row is a dated snapshot of what was published when we looked. It is not a live quote or an offer.
  • Refresh: high-traffic rows are re-checked on a rolling daily cadence; every row shows its own “last checked” date.

What we record

  • Dose-level prices for each medicine, split by new and returning customer where the pharmacy distinguishes them
  • Delivery, consultation and prescribing fees where stated
  • Discount codes, their terms, eligibility and validity dates
  • GPhC registration references and public review-profile links

Ranking rules

  1. Lowest total price a patient pays, delivery included where the pharmacy states it.
  2. Where a live discount code exists, the discounted total is used and the code is shown.
  3. Ties break alphabetically. There are no paid positions, boosts or badges.

Verification

Providers are matched to the General Pharmaceutical Council premises register. Where a service uses a separate dispensing pharmacy, we record the dispensing pharmacy’s registration — and we never transfer a registration or inspection outcome from one entity to another.

Limitations

A listed price is a fact about a webpage on a date. It cannot tell you about stock, delivery speed, eligibility, clinical suitability or service quality. Between our checks, prices can change — the pharmacy’s checkout is always the final word.
